Submitting an Entry
Each category may have a for-profit and a nonprofit/government winner.
An entry, whether in the for-profit or nonprofit/government sector, may be submitted in only one Category, either in the Single-Item or Campaign Division. Single items that are part of a campaign may be entered separately in one Category of the Single-Item Division. A separate fee will be required for each entry. Judges reserve the right to reassign an entry to a different Category.
Entries must include sections on research, planning, execution, and demonstrated results and evaluation, as well as the effective use of budget and resources. Explain the research used to identify opportunities for improvement or to address specific goals. Describe the program’s planning and goals, objectives, target audience(s), time period, strategies, tactics, and budget. Outline the steps taken to execute the program, including techniques, strategies, and how it met/did not meet its objectives. Demonstrate how the program achieved its goals, including measurable results and supporting documentation.
Judging
For the second year in a row, PRSA NJ has entered the PRSA Judging Pool, a program designed for chapter awards committee chairs who seek to engage in reciprocal award judging with other chapters. This program enables chapters to have their awards judged by peers from different chapters, sparing them from assessing their own awards. This year, the PRSA Sierra Nevada chapter will judge the Pyramid Awards. This arrangement enables each program to be more holistically judged on its own merit, with less possibility of conflicts of interest or unintended bias.
Judges may award multiple for-profit and nonprofit/government winners in any Category deemed appropriate. Judges reserve the right not to designate a winner in a Category if no entries meet the criteria for receiving an award.
Nonprofit/government submissions may not compete against for-profit submissions in any Category, and vice versa.
Notification
All entrants will be notified as to the status of their entries. Notification will occur immediately after judging.
